How this guide was built
This guide is research-based. Picks come from published manufacturer specifications, retailer listings and published reviews from Wirecutter, BabyGearLab and What to Expect. No hands-on testing is claimed for these bottles.
Every product in this guide was checked against the CPSC recall database in October 2026. No active CPSC recall or safety warning was found for the specific models and packs listed here. One related product was left out of this guide: the Boon Nursh 8 oz reusable bottles in the pink tie-dye 3-pack sold at Walmart (item B11654) are under a CPSC recall announced in June 2026 for a choking hazard from the outer shell. No Boon Nursh bottle appears in this guide.
Materials and BPA-free claims are stated as each manufacturer lists them. Nipple flows are stated in two parts: the flow included in the pack, and the flows available separately.

Match the bottle to the flow your baby handles today and the cleaning routine you can keep up at night.
Nipple flow
Newborns start on slow flow. Each review above states the flow in the pack and the flows sold separately for that bottle. A flow that runs too fast shows up as leaking at the corners of the mouth and gulping. A flow that runs too slow shows up as long, frustrated feeds. Age labels are a guide; feeding cues decide the change.
Material
Glass bottles are heavy and clean up well, and glass appears in the Philips Avent and Evenflo picks. Silicone bottles are soft and light, in the Comotomo and Nanobebe picks. Plastic bottles are light and low priced, in the Dr. Brown’s, Lansinoh, MAM and Tommee Tippee picks. The Chicco Duo places a glass layer inside a plastic body. BPA-free claims are stated in each review as the manufacturer lists them.
Parts and cleaning
Count the parts before you commit to a full set. The Dr. Brown’s vent system and the MAM vented base add pieces to every wash. The Lansinoh bottle has three pieces excluding the cap, and the Evenflo vent is built into the nipple. Dishwasher and sterilizer guidance is stated in each review as the listing gives it.
Specifications are based on published manufacturer and retailer information for the listed models. Check the current product listing for package contents, included nipple flow and compatibility before ordering. Recall status was checked against the CPSC recall database in October 2026.
